With the advent of having a twice cooked hotdog and cheetos for lunch a nice meal for dinner was key. We figured a good date tonight would be to hit the quasi citiurbia of Santana Row. The only city street right smack dab in the middle of suburbia. You feel duped walking down the street as you see Burberry's,Tod's,Tourneau's,Ted Baker and other high end cosmopolitan fashion establishments. Tres weird and faux but kinda brillant at the same time. We hit Cavuela's Mexican restaurant. An up scale authentic mexican cusine. Guacamole made at your table and really tasty quesadilla's!
The food is served tapas style and qwe had both the host and waiter explain tapas to us as though we just came in from Iowa!Margarita's are made with fresh lime juice.
The Tapas were quite nice with a guajillio chicken that was very moist and succculent. The Filet Mignon was way under cooked and when we sent it back they brought it back without ever cooking it and red as ever. I like medium rare but raw center is pushing it.
THe warm chocolate cake dessert was good but the warm center was not gooey enough. All in all, decent food but not worth the wait.
